Trina for her Gold Award Project, she
sold tshirts and collected newspapers and cardboard to earn money to purchase educational books to send to the Philipines.
Trina is a graduate of Bishop Dwenger High School.

Kateri's
began her Gold Project by collecting school supplies as well as soccer equipment in the United States. Then traveled
to Rosario, Argentina in January 2007 where she distributed the supplies to players on the streets as well as a local school.
Using soccer as a common means, she was able to provide impoverished young girls in Rosario with much needed soccer equipment.
She continued her project in the classroom by helping at the local school in Rosario teaching english to the students while
distrubint the school supplies.

For her Gold Award Project, she directed a group of girls who pulled weeds and planted flowers and plants at the Veterans War Memorial Museum on O’Day Road in Fort Wayne. Exterior
walls and chapel doors were painted along with 35 large wooden parking
posts. A reception which she hosted welcoming area Veterans and the public to visit the refreshed museum, with over 60 people in attendance. The afternoon
was successful in raising awareness and donations for a new chapel
eventually to be constructed on the grounds.

For her Gold Award Project,
Rachel created a Phonology Board at Lindenwood Nature Preserve to identify wildflowers and birds found in the park. She used photos she took in the park for the Board.

she worked with Ann Y. To direct a group of girls who made ornaments and tree skirts for Christmas Trees that were delivered to the homes of informed and low income elderly
citizens, who would not other wise have a Christmas Tree in their
home. They set up and decorated the trees, visited with the person, and then returned and removed the tree, and cleaned up after the tree was removed.

she worked with Kristen W. to collect books and school supplies, to set up an English speaking school in Uganda. They collected over 400 pounds of supplies, and several hudnred
dollars to cover the shipping charges to Uganda.

To earn her Girl Scout Gold Award, Becky W. of the St. Vincent Girl Scouts, completed four interest
project patches, the Career Exploration Pin, the Senior Girl Scout
Leadership Award, the Senior Girl Scout Challenge Award, and her
Gold Award Project. The project had to include a minimum of 50 hours of time on Becky’s part. Becky organized activities to supply lunch
sacks for the Franciscan Center Sack Lunch Program. The “Baggie Drive” generated 342 boxes of baggies and $520 in donations for the Franciscan Center.
She also assisted in distributing the food, and worked at
the Food Bank.
